The details of the reconstruction of the Wisconsin Avenue bridge at the Milwaukee River will be discussed at 5 p.m. Wednesday in room 301 of City Hall, 200 E. Wells St.

Alderman Robert Bauman said the reconstruction will close the bridge for a year or more and that the cost of the project will be covered by $21.5 million federal stimulus grant. He said Wells Street will be open to two-way traffic while the work is being done.

Access to the RiverWalk on both sides of the river will be closed during construction.
