Meeting to present plans for Menomonee Valley/Hank Aaron State Trail project

Menomonee Valley Partners, the Department of Natural Resources, the state Department of Transportation, the city of Milwaukee, and the Urban Ecology Center will host a public meeting to show off the designs being developed for new trails, park, bridges, and river access in the Menomonee Valley.

The meeting will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 28 at the Mitchell Park Domes lobby, 524 S. Layton Boulevard.

The project, according to a news release, will develop vacant land along the south bank of the Menomonee River into 24 acres of Hank Aaron State Trail, with new bike and pedestrian bridges connecting the Valley to the community and providing new public access to the Menomonee River.
