Late-night southeastern Wisconsin travelers should anticipate multiple detours this weekend from road pavement repair work.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced resurface work that will close the eastbound ramp of the Interstate 894 in the Hale Interchange from 10 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday. Alternative routes will be posted.
Also on Saturday, the on-ramp from Good Hope Road to northbound U.S. Highway 45 will be closed from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday. From Good Hope Road to WIS 145, lanes will be closed until early Monday morning.
WisDOT will shift gears Sunday night by closing southbound U.S. 45 to westbound Interstate 94 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Once again, drivers will be directed to follow posted detours.
Finally, traffic will be limited Monday evening at the Capitol Drive-Mayfair Road intersection from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. At least one westbound and eastbound lane on Capitol Drive will remain open at all times, while drivers on Mayfair Road will be diverted around the intersection.
According to WisDOT, the repair program is an effort increase safety and improve road surfaces deemed to be in disrepair. Drivers can expect similar repairs in the region throughout November.
