Grant to improve Wausau’s water treatment plant

Wausau’s water treatment plant will soon improve its facilities thanks to a state grant.

A $232,000 Focus on Energy grant will help the plant improve the efficiency of blowers by using the treatment plant’s own emissions to generate power.

The total cost of the project is projected to be around $2 million.
