Elko, Nev. (AP) — Nevada authorities say a worker for contractor Precision Pipeline LLC, Eau Claire, was killed while working on a section of the Ruby Pipeline that will carry natural gas from Wyoming to Oregon.
Charles Kuhn, 61, of Dresden, Ohio, died Tuesday north of Elko, according to the Elko County Sheriffís Office.
A sheriff’s sergeant said Kuhn was working on a section of pipe next to a trench when it started to roll. He was knocked into the trench and the pipe fell on top of him.
Houston-based El Paso Corp. is building the 680-mile pipeline.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will investigate.
