WAUTOMA, Wis. (AP) — Mayville Engineering Co. says it’s bringing hundreds of jobs to the central Wisconsin town of Wautoma over the next three years.
MEC announced Thursday that it’s bought the former Cummins Filtration facility, which was shut down in March 2009.
WLUK-TV reports the contract manufacturing company plans to hire around 100 employees by the end of 2011 and expects to more than double that number within the next three years.
MEC is headquartered in Mayville and has six other facilities in Wisconsin. The Wautoma facility will house welding, brake forming, laser cutting, and machining production areas.
