Awards were presented Friday in the annual newspaper contest of the Wisconsin Newspaper Association Foundation at the WNA’s annual meeting in Appleton.
The Daily Reporter and dailyreporter.com won six awards at this year’s competition. Web editor Joe Yovino won a pair of first-place awards: one for Web Special Project for the Edgewater Hotel project profile page, and one for Continuing Web Coverage for stories on the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District.
Graphics specialist Ingrid Johansson won three awards, including first place for a design called “Business Slow?” and two second-place awards: one for the Focus On Southwest Wisconsin section, and the other for use of art service for The Daily Reporter’s Newsmakers of the Year design.
The newspaper also won third-place honors for its business coverage.
