STILLWATER, Minn. (AP) — Officials reopened the Stillwater Lift Bridge on Monday afternoon as floodwaters subsided on the St. Croix River.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s Beth Petrowske, the bridge reopened between 2:30 and 3 p.m. Monday.

MnDOT closed the bridge on April 8 as rising waters approached the bridge deck, threatening the electrical lift motors beneath the deck.

Around 18,000 motorists use the bridge daily.

  1. can anyone verify the bridge is actually open for me?

I’ve wasted too much of my time and gas in the past when it wasn’t opened on time.

  2. Halleluja!
