The city of Washburn will get $405,000 from the state’s Recreational Boating Facilities Grant Program to make repairs to the Washburn Marina that was damaged in an October 2010 storm, according to a news release from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
The total project cost is $1,038,181. The grant was awarded April 8 in Eau Claire.
The money will enable the city to make repairs to the marina’s timber bulkhead wall. The 570-foot-long wall makes up the southeast side of the marina property.
