STURTEVANT, Wis. (AP) — The state is lending a Sturtevant metal parts manufacturer $1.5 million to help it invest in new equipment and add employees.
American Metal Technologies will spend nearly $10 million on new manufacturing equipment and plans to add about 70 employees this year.
CEO Ram Thukkaram said the company has already added 30 workers this year because of increased orders from Ford Motor Co.
The Racine Journal Times says American Metal machines parts mainly from aluminum and gray iron. Gov. Scott Walker visited the plant Tuesday to announce the low interest state loan.
