CH Energy sells wind farm to Duke Energy unit

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) — CH Energy Group Inc. said Thursday a subsidiary agreed to sell a Wisconsin wind farm to a unit of Duke Energy Corp.

Financial terms were not disclosed for sale of the Shirley wind farm in Glenmore.

Duke Energy said in a release that the eight wind turbines can generate enough electricity to power about 6,000 homes. It sells all its output to the Wisconsin Public Service Corp. under a 20-year deal.

CH, which acquired the wind project in 2009, said the sale fit its strategy of focusing on energy delivery. The sale is expected to close in July.
