Hoan Bridge to close for few hours Sunday

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will close Milwaukee’s Hoan Bridge from 5:30 to 10 a.m. Sunday in coordination with the United Performing Arts Fund Ride for the Arts.

Motorists are advised to use the following detour routes:

• Northbound/westbound I-794 closed at Howard Avenue. ?Exit at Howard Avenue off- ramp, travel west on Howard Avenue to I-94.  Take I-94 northbound/westbound to the Marquette Interchange. Sign will direct drivers to I-794.

• Southbound/eastbound I-794.? Eastbound I-94 traffic west of the Marquette Interchange will follow I-94 south.? Southbound I-43 traffic north of Marquette Interchange will also be directed south on I-94. Northbound I-94 traffic will be directed off of eastbound I-794 at Van Buren and back on westbound I-794 at Jackson.

• Westbound I-794 traffic will be directed south on I-94, exit at Howard Avenue back to I-794.
