State Assembly about to head back to work

Hope everyone enjoyed their summer vacations because the state Assembly gets back to work Tuesday.

The 100th regular session kicks off (hey, it’s football season) at 11 a.m. at the state Capitol with the state Department of Natural Resources a prime topic for representatives.

Of particular early interest for the Assembly is Bill 177, which involves streamlining the DNR permit process. The bill is scheduled for a second reading.
