Fire evacuates Kohler foundry

KOHLER, Wis. (AP) — Officials say a fire at a Kohler Co. foundry started after some molten metal leaked or spilled.

The fire started about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at the plant in the village of Kohler. Police say witnesses reported several small explosions at the foundry.

Four other departments helped Kohler firefighters put out the fire, which couldn’t be extinguished with water. No one was injured.
