The state Department of Natural Resources will spend $3.5 million the next two years on 15 dam construction projects, according to a news release from the DNR.
The state grants cannot exceed $400,000 per project, which will range from maintenance or repairs to abandonment or removal of the dam, according to the release. Milwaukee County’s Estabrook Dam is among the dams on the list.
