More than 10,000 Milwaukee property owners have enrolled in an optional warranty protection program for sewer lines provided by the National League of Cities Service Line Warranty Program, according to a city of Milwaukee news release.
Service Line Warranties is offering the program as a way to prevent unexpected expenses associated with a sewer line break, according to the release.
The cost for people who purchase the warranty protection is $9.50 per month or $100 per year, according to the release, and will cover sewer line repairs up to $6,000.
The program includes a 24-hour repair hotline and the use of local, certified technicians.
