A truck dumped 50,000 pounds of dry cement after an accident in Milwaukee’s Marquette Interchange on Thursday afternoon, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department.

Officials closed the ramp between Interstate 94 east and Interstate 43 north to clean up the cement, said Fran McLaughlin, Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman. The ramp reopened late afternoon Thursday.

The Sheriff’s Department could not pinpoint the cause of the single-vehicle accident, which occurred at 12:50 p.m. McLaughlin said the driver reported no injuries.

The truck belonged to Leo’s Trucking LLC, Milwaukee. Leonardo de Alba Sanchez, the company owner, said the driver lost control of the truck. He said Thursday afternoon that he was waiting to hear from authorities and didn’t know anything more about the accident.
