Ellis Stone Construction Co. Inc., Stevens Point, will be honored with an Associated General Contractors’ 2012 Build Wisconsin Award in December for construction of the St. Paul Catholic Church in Mosinee. Architect for the project was Blue Design Group LLC, Hortonville.

The new building includes many pieces from the old church, including stained glass windows, statues and terrazzo tile. The new church provides seating for more than 600 and is handicap accessible.

The Build Wisconsin Awards are a testament to the skill, integrity, hard work ingenuity and commitment that goes into construction projects. A panel of construction industry professionals, including an architect, engineer, facility owner/manager, city building official and university professor select the top outstanding construction projects to receive the awards.

This is the 10th year of the Build Wisconsin Awards, and the sixth time Ellis has been honored. Ellis received the award in 2003 for the design and construction of Delta Dental in Stevens Point, in 2007 for design and construction of Mark Toyota Scion in Plover, and 2008 for construction of the Fox Valley Technical College Waupaca Regional Center. In 2010, two of Ellis’ projects — the InteVation Food Group LLC in Plover and Travel Guard World Headquarters in Stevens Point — received an award.
