Property owners ordered to pay for erosion control violations

Listen to this articleStevens Point-based Lexton Properties LLC and HH Condos LLC will pay $5,000 in fines and court costs after a Portage County Circuit Court ruled they failed to control erosion at three properties.
Judge John Finn found the defendants did not design or carry through practices made to reduce erosion at Harmony Village, North Harmony Village and Echo Dells, properties they managed in Portage County, according to a news release.
Environmental issues resulting from the lack of erosion control have been mitigated, according to the release.
