H.J. Martin and Son Inc., Green Bay, won two 2012 Build Wisconsin Specialty Contractor Awards in the categories of Interior and Exterior Finishes. It was the seventh consecutive year H.J. Martin was honored with an AGC award.

H.J. Martin received an award for its work on the interior finishes of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Union South, which opened in April 2011. The nearly 277,000-square-foot building has an organic, prairie-style design influenced by notable Wisconsin architect Frank Lloyd Wright. H.J. Martin was recognized for its floor installation in the high-traffic facility.

The second AGC award was for H.J. Martin’s installation work on the black glass windows for the Knight Development Building in De Pere. The building is owned by SparkNET, an Internet firm and mobile app development company. H.J. Martin’s 17,000 square feet of glass installation was acknowledged for enhancing the building’s curb appeal. H.J. Martin was also recognized for its environmentally friendly work on the project, with 92 percent of the utilized aluminum comprised from recycled materials.

The AGC of Wisconsin awards were presented to the H.J. Martin on Dec. 6 at Lambeau Field.
