Milwaukee County to host OUR listening sessions

The Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors has scheduled four listening sessions for its OUR Milwaukee County initiative. OUR stands for “Outreach for Unified Reform.”

County Board Chairwoman Marina Dimitrijevic announced the initiative earlier this month. It is designed to reform county governance and mental health, explore a dedicated funding source for transit, parks and cultural services, and explore consolidating services with municipalities in the county.

The four meetings will be held in March, according to a news release from the county, at:

– 6:30 p.m. March 12 in the Main Hall of the Wilson Park Senior Center, 2601 W. Howard Ave., Milwaukee;

– 6:30 p.m. March 14 in the Firefly Room of the Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa;

– 6:30 p.m. March 19 at the North Shore Library, 6800 N. Port Washington Road, Glendale; and

– 6:30 p.m. March 10 in the Evangel Assembly of God chapel, 9920 W. Good Hope Road, Milwaukee.
