I-794 in Milwaukee reopens after truck rollover

The ramp from eastbound I-794 to southbound I-794 near the Hoan Bridge in downtown Milwaukee reopened at 9:05 a.m. Wednesday after a tractor-trailer accident shut down the freeway for about five hours.

The truck, loaded with 40,000 pounds of paper, rolled onto its side on the ramp around 4 a.m. According to reports, Hazardous materials crews helped to clean up diesel fuel after it spilled from the truck.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the driver of the truck sustained minor injuries.
