MADISON, Wis. (AP) – State and federal officials want to know what landscape features the public would like to see along a new Ice Age Trail segment in Marquette County.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the National Park Service, along with the Ice Age Trail Alliance, are planning three open houses this month that will feature overviews of the county’s geology, scenic views and other natural characteristics. The agencies and the alliance will consider public comments on what features to include as they map out potential trail corridors.
The first open house is set for Saturday in Montello. The second is scheduled for May 21 in Westfield and third for May 23 in Endeavor.
