A storm sewer culvert pipe project will close both directions of Interstate 94 from Friday night to Sunday morning.

The existing storm sewer culvert pipe is about 500 feet north of Rawson Avenue in Milwaukee County. It needs to be replaced due to its condition, according to a new release from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. In order to complete the culvert replacement, I-94 north and southbound will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday through 9 a.m. Sunday.

I-94 northbound will be closed from 27th Street (at the Racine/Milwaukee County line) to College Avenue. I-94 southbound will be closed from Rawson to Drexel avenues.

In addition, multiple I-94 northbound and I-94 southbound entrance and exit ramps will be closed during the culvert replacement.
