Construction will be scaled back for Memorial Day weekend, but WisDOT is still urging caution.
In anticipation of heavy traffic on major Wisconsin highways, WisDOT is halting most construction work from noon Friday until 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Motorists will still see the effects of road work, including uneven pavement and limited lanes, according to a WisDOT news release.
Peak travel times are expected to run from noon to 8 p.m. Friday and Monday, according to the release.
The roads affected will include several stretches of I-94 and I-43 and parts of U.S. 51 and Highways 29 and 73.
