KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) — An Illinois lighting manufacturer is relocating to southeastern Wisconsin, bringing 400 jobs to the area.

Kenall Manufacturing Co. of Gurnee, Ill., is moving its headquarters and manufacturing operations to Kenosha.

The move was announced Wednesday. The Kenosha News reports the company plans to build a new facility.

The 354,000-square-foot facility would be built just east of Interstate 94 at Highway 158, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Kenall makes specialty lighting equipment used in hospitals, schools, parking structures and prisons.

Executive vice president for operations Randy Hernandez said the company has been growing, and has added about 100 jobs in the last three years.

Gov. Scott Walker is scheduled to appear at a formal announcement at Gateway Technical College on Thursday.
