Trial in fatal parking structure failure begins

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A trial to determine who was at fault when part of a parking garage gave way and killed a teenager begins Monday in Milwaukee County.
The families of the 15-year-old who died, Jared Kellner, and two others who were injured in the 2010 accident are suing the firm that installed the 13-ton panel that collapsed and Milwaukee County, the owners of the structure.
The county blames Advance Cast Stone for the accident, saying the construction company used a faulty method for attaching the panel that fell.
The teen’s friend, Eric Wosinski and Wosinski’s mother, Amy, were injured by the falling panel.
