Zenith Tech submits low bid to fix Frigo bridge

State Highway Letting: Leo Frigo Bridge Repairs

Waukesha-based Zenith Tech Inc. made the apparent low bid to repair the sagging Leo Frigo bridge over the Fox River in Green Bay.

Zenith bid $7,722,401.95 on the project, according to a notice of bids received. Lunda Construction Co., Black River Falls, and Edward Kraemer & Sons Inc., Plain, also bid on the project.

The bridge has been closed since Sept. 25, when a support pier dropped 2 feet.

Work is expected to be complete by mid-May, according to a request for bids, and includes pier cap extensions, bridge repair and jacking, and pavement markings.
