Milwaukee to spend $10.7M on street, sewer, water main improvements

The Milwaukee Common Council on Wednesday unanimously approved spending about $10.7 million on engineering and construction costs for street, sewer and water main improvements.

Of that money, $410,000 would pay for engineering on projects that could not involve special taxes for surrounding property owners. Those projects include crackfilling and asphalt resurfaces. Engineering on projects that could involve special taxes would cost $1,227,000. Those projects would include replacing sidewalks and repaving streets.

The remaining $9,049,000 would pay for sewer and water main construction projects in multiple aldermanic districts.
