OSHA wants to extend deadline for crane operator certification

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is proposing an extension of the deadline for crane operator certification.

In 2010, OSHA approved a requirement that all construction crane operators be certified to operate the machines by Nov. 10, 2014. OSHA now wants to bump the deadline for compliance to Nov. 10, 2017, according to a news release.

Public comments are due March 12.
