Meriter Hospital’s new Center for Perinatal Care in Madison has opened and includes a corridor designed to let in sunlight and encourage collaboration among employees.

Milwaukee-based architecture and design firm Plunkett Raysich Architects LLP, was hired by Meriter Hospital to help design a center that would provide care to those in the midst of high-risk pregnancies and bring various medical services offered to women together in one location.

The project involved building a small corridor inside the 15,000-square-foot center, a change meant to increase efficiency. The addition also allows sunlight to come into the center’s waiting and reception areas, according to Plunkett Raysich.
