Panel to discuss possible lawsuit over Hoan Bridge work

A Milwaukee panel is expected to discuss a potential lawsuit over Hoan Bridge demolition noise.

Alderman Robert Bauman asked the Office of the City Attorney to look into the possibility of a lawsuit earlier this month over what he said was excessive noise. Bauman’s district includes the Interstate 794 reconstruction project, of which the Hoan Bridge is a portion, and residents had complained about demolition lasting past midnight.

The city attorney’s office is expected to respond to that request at the Judiciary and Legislation Committee meeting Monday. Bauman is a member of that committee. He said he expects the discussion to go into closed session.
