Fire damages highway maintenance vehicles

EDGAR, Wis. (AP) — A fire at a Marathon County highway maintenance garage has caused substantial damage.

Sheriff’s officials say the blaze early Friday at the storage garage near Edgar caused more than $1 million damage to six heavy trucks, a front end loader and a skid steer.

WSAW-TV reports a passing motorist spotted smoke coming from the facility. A cause of the fire is under investigation.
