Transportation needs subject of WisDOT meetings

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will host public meetings Tuesday and Wednesday to discuss the state’s transportation needs and challenges.

The meetings are the last in a statewide tour of Transportation Moves Wisconsin meetings, according to a news release, and are designed to get feedback on how people travel and how the state should raise money for transportation projects.

The May 20 meeting will be held in Room 117 on the West Allis campus of the Milwaukee Area Technical College, 1200 S. 71st St., West Allis. Parking will be available on campus lots.

The May 21 meeting will be held in the Madrigrano Auditorium at Gateway Technical College, 3520 30th Ave., Kenosha. Parking will be available near the auditorium.

Both meetings will begin at 5 p.m. and include a 5:30 p.m. presentation by WisDOT Secretary Mark Gottlieb.
