Repairs to the Rowing Club Boathouse

The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee, on behalf of the Milwaukee Rowing Club, has released a bid package for repair work to the boathouse used by the club.

Work will include electrical, roofing, concrete and carpentry.

Bids are due Sept. 15 to the Redevelopment Authority. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and walk-through will be held at 9 a.m. Sept. 3 at the boathouse, 1990 N. Commerce St.

Established in 1914, the rowing club is a member organization of the United States Rowing Association, and has members ranging from 14 to 70 years old. The non-profit club is also home to the Milwaukee School of Engineering and Marquette University crew teams.

The club uses the Menomonee, Milwaukee and Kinnickinnic rivers for training and events.
