Deputy administration secretary to quit next month

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Chris Schoenherr has decided to leave his job as deputy secretary in Gov. Scott Walker’s Department of Administration next month.

The governor’s office released an announcement Schoenherr sent to DOA staff Monday. Schoenherr said in the announcement he plans to leave his post on Jan. 23 to join the Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency in Rochester, Minn., as agency and government relations director.

According to its website, SMMPA supplies wholesale electricity to 18 nonprofit municipally owned member utilities.
