Milwaukee-based Wangard Partners Inc. began installing pre-cast concrete wall panels on Monday at its West Allis industrial development site.

Pre-cast installation is a major milestone for the brownfield development project, which is a redevelopment of the former Yellow Freight Trucking site, according to a news release. Wangard used New Market Tax Credits and TIF dollars to clean up and redevelop the property.

The 122,000-square-foot development is expected to open in July 2015 and will hold two separate buildings, according to the release. Ferguson Enterprises, the largest U.S. distributor of residential and commercial plumbing supplies and pipe, valves and fittings, will locate a new 72,000-square-foot office and warehouse in the development. The other 50,000-square-foot building is currently available for lease, according to the release.
