GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — The Green Bay Packers latest purchase of property around Lambeau Field is the Road Star Inn.
The hotel is among a growing number of properties in the team’s portfolio. The hotel’s general manager, Andrew Schroepfer, tells WLUK-TV the hotel will close in about a month.
With the purchase, the Packers will own 24 properties west of Lambeau Field. The team has torn down several buildings in the area in recent months, including the former Kmart store. Land records show the Road Star property is valued at about $1.3 million.
The Packers haven’t commented on the purchase or the team’s plans for area.
