Keeping public plans, specs open to the public

New law requires construction plans, specs be made free for plan rooms

Irritated that some local governments had begun charging contractors to see project plans and specifications, industry representatives have lobbied successfully in favor of a law requiring that copies of those documents be provided for free to public plan rooms maintained by independent groups throughout the state.
