Authorities ID man killed in tree-cutting accident

ST. FRANCIS, Wis. (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a 69-year-old man who was killed in a tree-trimming accident in a Milwaukee suburb.

The Milwaukee County medical examiner’s office identifies the victim as Blas Berumen of Oak Creek.

St. Francis police say Berumen was helping his son trim trees at the son’s home Wednesday morning when a branch fell and struck the father in the head.

Berumen was standing on a stepladder and was knocked down. He was pronounced dead inside an ambulance.

The medical examiner says Berumen died of a blunt force head injury. His death was ruled accidental.
