The new owners of the Shops of Grand Avenue mall in downtown Milwaukee have assembled a team that will be charged with reviving interest in the struggling property.
The team includes: UrbanLand, a Milwaukee-based venture of The Kubala Washatko Architects; Colliers International, a global real estate company that will manage the property; Mid-America Real Estate Group, which will continue brokering deals for retail space at the mall; and NEWaukee, which will help organize events at the mall.
The Shops of Grand Avenue is owned by a joint venture composed of the investor company Aggero Group, of Milwaukee, and development company Hempel Cos., of Minneapolis. The venture bought the property in December.
The new owners’ plans for the mall are expected to be released next month. Follow @TDR_WLJDan
