Joy Global named Corporate Partner of the Year by Milwaukee Habitat
Joy Global, which this year marked $1 million raised and donated to Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity, has been named the nonprofit organization’s Corporate Partner of the Year.
Joy Global’s President of Americas North Jeff Schmaling accepted the honor at Habitat’s annual Blueprint Breakfast on Thursday.
Joy Global employees have volunteered more than 5,000 hours in the past five years to help Habitat build homes in Milwaukee’s Washington Park neighborhood. The company’s ongoing support of the organization includes a workplace giving campaign, year-round employee volunteer efforts and a supplier golf tournament.
Runnion adds Huebner in sales department
Runnion Equipment Co. has hired Bob Huebner as a sales representative for Wisconsin. Huebner is responsible for selling the equipment lines that the company represents, which include National Crane, Palfinger, Tadano, and Elliot throughout Wisconsin.
Prior to joining Runnion Equipment, Huebner worked in heavy construction equipment sales for 14 years. As a managing salesman, he was responsible for overseeing a six-county area in southeastern Wisconsin while expanding his knowledge of cranes and attachments.
Huebner graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Kren joins R.A. Smith as a structural engineer
Michael Kren has joined Brookfield-based R.A. Smith National as a structural engineer in the structural services division.
Kren brings his experience with wood and steel building design projects to the firm. His primary role within the structural services division will be residential building design projects. Kren will also assist with bridge and retaining wall design projects for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and local communities.
Kren holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Marquette University and will receive his master’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering (also from Marquette University) this May.
He lives in New Berlin.
C.D. Smith names new CFO
The C.D. Smith Construction Board of Directors, along with President Justin Smith, have announced the promotion of Robert Seibel to chief financial officer.
Seibel started with C.D. Smith in 1999 in the company’s payroll department. In 2005, he was promoted to controller and in 2011 was promoted to treasurer. His responsibilities include overseeing all accounting processes and financial reporting activities for C.D. Smith.
A graduate from Marian University in 2002, he lives in Fond du Lac with his wife and two children.
