MADISON, Wis. — U.S. Labor Secretary Tom Perez will be the keynote speaker at Wisconsin’s Democratic convention next month.
The Democratic Party of Wisconsin says in a news release he’s one of the country’s strongest progressive voices and has fought for equality and civil rights.
Russ Feingold also will speak at the convention. He is running against Republican Sen. Ron Johnson.
Other speakers will include state chair Martha Laning, state Senate Minority Leader Jennifer Shilling, Assembly Minority Leader Peter Barca, U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin and U.S. Representatives Ron Kind, Mark Pocan and Gwen Moore.
The convention takes place in Green Bay on June 3 and 4.
