ABC Supply buys New York company

ABC Supply Co., the roofing-supply giant headquartered in Beloit, has bought GK Building Supply, a distributor of roofing, gutter and siding products.

As a result of the sale, GK Building Supply, whose headquarters is in Port Chester, N.Y., will be moving personnel to ABC Supply’s location in Stamford, Conn.

“The associates of GK Building Supply bring a wealth of product knowledge and expertise to our team,” said Tom Kuchan, vice president of ABC Supply’s Northeast Region, in a statement. “Area contractors will continue to work with the same associates they have come to know and rely on, while enjoying access to a wider selection of product options at our new Stamford branch.”

The former owners of GK Building Supply, Ben Freda and Richard Pantano, along with various employees will move to ABC’s location in Stamford.

ABC Supply is the largest wholesale distributor of roofing products in the U.S.
