Dane County Executive Joe Parisi said he plans to propose a number of improvements to the Anderson Farm County Park in the town of Oregon.
The improvements Parisi proposed includes $150,000 for demolition of a farmstead that the county purchased this year. The county plans to use the 8.5-acre site as the starting point for agricultural programming at the county park.
Parisi also proposed setting aside money for the design and engineering of a dog park.
“Dog parks are our most popular destination for our Dane County parks,” he said in a news release. “The addition of agriculture programming will be a great way to allow residents the opportunity to establish small scale farming operations.”
Anderson Farm County Park, established in 2014, is approximately 310 acres.
