Milwaukee, state officials seeking opinions on Highway 175 study

Officials at the Milwaukee Department of City Development and Wisconsin Department of Transportation want to hear public opinions on what should be done to bring vitality back to a section of Highway 175.

The two departments are conducting a study to consider different long-term options for the part of the highway near where the Stadium Freeway terminates at Lisbon Avenue. As part of the study, officials are holding a public hearing from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 29 at 2360 N. 52nd St.

The goal is to redesign the road in a way that will improve connections between the neighborhoods, improve safety for cars and pedestrians, maintain traffic flow and help bring vitality back to a commercial area along North and Lisbon avenues.
