MADISON, Wis. (AP) — There will be no changes at the head of the Wisconsin Legislature’s powerful budget committee.
Republican Rep. John Nygren, of Marinette, and Sen. Alberta Darling, of River Hills, will both return as leaders of the Joint Finance Committee. Nygren’s re-appointment to the post was announced Tuesday by Assembly Speaker Robin Vos. Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald announced Darling’s pick last week.
There were no changes to the Republican senators who will sit on the 16-member committee. Other lawmakers will who serve on the highly coveted committee had not yet been announced.
