Electrician dies after fall at Bucks arena

An electrician has died following a fall at the site of the new arena being built for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Peter Rohmann, 57, from Menomonee Falls, died at 5:22 p.m. Saturday at Froedtert Hospital.

Rohmann was working at the arena site last Wednesday, and was complaining of chest pains to coworkers throughout the day. He fell 8 feet from a ladder at about 1 p.m. before being rushed to the hospital.

An autopsy was performed Monday. The Milwaukee County medical examiner listed the official cause of death as an accident.

Rohmann worked for Staff Electric Co., of Menomonee Falls, according to an investigation report from the medical examiner’s office.

An Occupational Safety and Health Administration safety inspector was notified of the incident, according to the report. An official with OSHA’s Milwaukee area office could not be immediately reached on Tuesday.

Editor’s note: This story has been corrected to state that Peter Rohmann worked for Staff Electric, not the National Electrical Contractors Association. We regret the error.
