The Madison firm JLA Architects announced recently that Rafeeq Asad had joined its architectural team.
Asad, who has been recognized as an up-and-coming young professional in Madison, joins JLA as an architectural associate and will work on the firm’s Milwaukee-area projects as well.
“We are very happy to have Rafeeq join our team,” said Joseph Lee, president and owner of JLA Architects. “He brings great experience and perspective that will make JLA a more well rounded, and more valuable resource for our clients. In addition, his personality and his approach to the architectural profession fits in nicely with the culture at JLA.”
Asad has received various awards for his work both in the architecture industry and for society. He received the 2017 Outstanding Mentor award from the group 100 Black Men of Madison. He also serves on Madison College’s Architecture Advisory Board and the city of Madison’s Urban Design Commission.Follow @natebeck9
