Milwaukee committee rejects policy to ban demolition of vacant properties

A Milwaukee committee balked on Tuesday at a proposal to ban the demolition of city-owned residential properties for the rest of the year, giving local officials more time to decide if they want to use part of the millions the city is expected to receive in federal COVID-19 aid for housing rehabilitation.
